Taffelmusikk og pianoentertainer – Raffy

Raffy har en imponerende karriere bak pianoet.
En av vestlandets beste pianister er opprinnelig fra Bulgaria og har bodd på Bønes like utenfor Bergen siden 1998. (snakker derfor norsk)
Fra sin karriere som pianoentertainer i hele Europa har han et enormt repertouar som får alle i godt humør.
Rafael tar også oppdrag som taffelpianist. Med sitt absolutte gehør spiller han alle de kjente klassiske stykkene og all annen stemningsskapende musikk.

1979-1985 – Musical Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the class of Prof. Julia and Konstantin Ganev.
Degree certifying practice as a performer and a teacher.
1973-1979 – Music High School in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Degree academic diploma.
Master class teacher – Prof. Sona Kesedjian.
1965-1973 – Primary music school following up talented kids in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

1966 – Awarded as best performer in the youngest category of The National Competition for piano players in Sofia, Bulgaria.
1970 and 1978 – First prize winner as well as the Prize of the jury at the All National Music Competition “Svetoslav Obretenov” in Varna, Bulgaria.
1976 – Awarded as first prize winner at the International Review for piano players in Sofia, Bulgaria.
1979 – Awarded with special diploma upon graduation for all the highest achievements during the studies at the Music High School in Plovdiv.
1980 – Awarded as the youngest finalist at the National Research for pop music composers in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Licensed as a piano performer, piano teacher and teacher in any musical theoretics.
September 1985 – State board examination in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Fluent in English, Armenian, Bulgarian and a good understanding of Norwegian, Russian and Serbo-Croatian.
1972 – 1979
Multiple performances as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Performing with different pop groups in Bulgaria.
Numerous tours within the former East-block countries (’74 – ’79).
Composing original music.
Arranging and Recording for various artists.
1979 – 1994
Solo performances at many of the most respectable hotels and piano bars in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Holland, France and England.
Working as studio musician in Bulgaria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Germany.
Teaching vocal classes at the Pop music section at the National Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria (1981-1982).
Attending the annual intensive course in Armenian language, Culture and History, organized by the Venetian university (1990-1991-1992-1993) Semestreally graduated.
Composing, Arranging and Recording ordered music for theatres and TV shows in Norway, Denmark and Sweden (1990-1994).
Touring and performing with Ms. Lilly Ivanova in former USSR and in Turkey (Summer – Autumn of 1983).
Occasional performances at “Hard Rock Café” in New York City (Spring 1991).
Teaching Music theory and Ear training at the Norwegian Sound Engineering School in Oslo, Norway (school year 1994).
1994 – 1998
Five successive engagements as product demonstrator for the German piano factory “Seiler” at the annual Music trade Fair in Frankfurt
Co-founding N.I.S.S. (Nordic Institute for Stage and Studio) in Oslo, Norway. Working at N.I.S.S. as senior teacher in Music Theory, Ear Training, Classic Harmonizing, Ensemble playing and Piano as compulsory / obligatory instrument.
Performing in a few concerts-projects taking place at some of the concert halls in Oslo, Norway such as “Rockefeller”, “Smuget”, “Josephine” and “Cosmopolite” (1995-1996-1997-1998).
Continuing my solo performances as piano entertainer at some of the most respectable hotels and similar venues in Scandinavian countries.
Performing at the opening- and closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway (February 94)
Solo performances at the IPC (International Press Centre) and the Olympic Village during the same Olympic Games.
Participating in several radio shows for the Norwegian National Radio (1994-1996).
Performances for the Royal family and other highly ranked guests at the Royal Castle in Oslo or similar venues during exclusive dinners, diplomatic meetings etc. (regularly after 1990).
1998 – 2006
Continuing the activities as studio musician in Norway (especially) as well as in Denmark and Sweden (occasionally).
Concentrating on the solo performances as piano entertainer at some of the most respectable hotels and similar venues in Norway, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany and France.
Releasing own CD with some of the most popular and audience’s favourite songs.
Collaborating with teachers from several pop music schools, colleges or similar faculties at different conservatories around Europe.
Negotiating with representatives of different companies from the music industry in Switzerland and Germany in order to arrange sponsorships and financial support for a newer and more innovative pop music academy, eventually based in Switzerland.
2006 – Present
Building up my own private studio in Bergen, Norway.
Performing my own show-programs around Norway.
